Labre Welcomes Summer Intern

Labre Welcomes Summer Intern

We would like to introduce our summer intern, Ryan Schelle. Ryan is from Breda, Iowa, and is currently attending DMACC. He is slated to graduate this summer with a degree in Agriculture Business. When Ryan is not busy attending classes, he enjoys cheering on the Hawkeyes and spending time with friends.

Growing up on diversified operation, including row crop, cattle and hogs, Ryan has always enjoyed learning more about farming and being hands-on. With a background in agriculture, we know Ryan will bring a great deal of knowledge and perspective to the table.

When asked what he is looking forward to most about his internship this summer, Ryan responded, “I hope to gain a better understanding of soil sampling through hands-on experience and how to write correct recommendations based on those sampling results.” He goes on to say, “With all of the news regarding water quality, I believe soil sampling is going to continue to play a key role in producers’ management program, so now is a great time to learn! I am also looking forward to gaining knowledge in variable rate technology and working with the state-of- the-art drones that Labre has to offer.”

We are excited to have Ryan join us this summer. It is pivotal to do what we can to keep young, driven individuals within the agriculture industry. Please introduce yourself to Ryan as you see him out and about this summer.
